Our Government is failing our Education System for our children. You probably have heard the term Quadsemester alot but you might not know what it actually means for the kids. Instead of having a half year(5 months) for highschool students to learn 4 credits now they are forcing students to learn a single credit within 22 days. Students use to have 1-2 weeks to do essays but are now forced to have them done in a few days.

The 2 credits each Quadsemester is extremely stressful to some students for many different reasons. Those who struggle with learning disabilities, physical and mental disabilities, those with anxiety and depression, even those without. Are all struggling, not because of the online learning, but because of the quad-mesters. Those with disabilities are typically booked with appointments and are struggling with their own problems. Many students actually like the remote learning better, its the quadsemesters that is the actual issue. Students will be forced to get into bad habits in order to work for long hours to finish assignments in 2 days. Not only is this harming, young kids getting into school, or those in grade 12 trying to get into University, but it is extremely harmful to students with physical, mental or learning disabilities. They are setting us up to fail.

So please tell me how this is suppose to help our children stress because as I see it as a Grade 12 student I am seeing alot more stress put on us. We cant keep doing this or else we are going to cause a major mental health crisis across this province.
