Pass Bill 14 (the Anti-Bullying Act) in Ontario Sooner

The Anti-Bullying Act is designated to support Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week in Schools and to provide for bullying prevention curricula, policies and administrative accountability in schools

The United States have passed Anti-Bullying bills in many of their states and it's time that Ontario also takes action against this form of abuse. School bullying statistics and cyber bullying statistics show the 77% of students are bullied mentally, verbally and physically. Suicide due to bullying is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year. For every suicide among young people, there are at least 100 suicide attempts. Over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it. This needs to be addressed on a government-level. Dalton McGuinty supports the bill, however action is not being taken fast enough. With all this being said, we need to get BIll 14, the Anti-Bullying Bill passed immediately and we can really use your support.
