Ontario schools are reopening with strict restrictions again, which include social distancing, permanent masking and cohorts. All these restrictions create a very uncomfortable and difficult environment for students to learn, interact with others and just socialize. In total throughout this entire pandemic only 14 people under the age of 20 have died while having the virus. Surely many more people have grown to have mental illnesses due to lockdowns and a lack of social life and this may have caused teenagers to lose their life. It is very easy to control the virus in schools, instead of having preventative rules which do not work very effectively anyway. Just send and keep kids home who experience any kind of symptom. This will prevent spread of the virus. The vast majority of people are already vaccinated and if we do not stop these restrictions when will they stop. As a high school student myself I do not have a single friend who is happy to see these restrictions and we all  want normal school reopening. The current state of reopening is just depressing to think about.
