brooke b started this petition to Ontario Government and

Its come to my attention that the government can in fact prevent teachers from having their march break and force them to work. I would personally support a teacher strike on this because everyone deserves their vacation time. The government officials had theirs at Christmas when they told us all to stay home, then suddenly no one else is allowed.....if they mess with march break and the teachers dont strike then I say us parents need to take action.

I'm starting a movement to get parents to keep their children home from school on March Break. If you agree with this and you are willing to support teachers and children sign this petition to show the government that you will not let your children be a pawn in this game. Your signature shows you will be keeping your children home regardless of what the government decides to do. Together we can have a voice. These teachers have been working their butts off adapting to ever changing rules and regulations for a year now. Not only did they have to learn to teach online but they had their own children home too. They work more now than they ever had. They deserve their break. Your children have been through a terrible experience being thrown back and fourth between online learning and in school which is no longer fun. They've been glued to screens for months thanks to the government trying to "protect" them. When in reality I've never seen kids so withdrawn, angry and frustrated in my life. Our kids also deserve to have their week of relaxing. Mental health is extremely important! Both sides deserve their break. Let's help that come true! Sign below and pledge to keep your children home if it comes to that. Thank you!
