We’re in our third year of lockdowns now and the effects are far worse than Covid-19 virus. Our mental health is not being taken into account and I’m scared of what suicide rates will look like if schools stay closed. When will we be responsible for our own healthcare like we were before 2020? When will people realize that cases go up in the winter because it’s cold and flu season? When will this cycle of lockdowns in the winter and reopening in the summer end? Do people see that the rest of the world is back to normal? Why do the maple leafs play for an empty building while games in the States are played in front of thousands of maskless fans. Ontarios government is not concerned with our health. This new variant is easily spread but also an easy recovery. If we’re thinking logically, we need to let this pass. You cannot stop a virus which is what Ontario has been trying to do since the beginning of this. This needs to run it’s course. We need to stop looking at case numbers and start focusing on hospitalizations and deaths. Because recovery rates are far higher than the death rates. We’re doing everything the government tells us and when cases don’t go down we’re told it’s our fault. Cases don’tgo down until the warmer weather which they take credit for. They claim the lockdowns worked and it’s what we need to do until it’s gone. Except this happens every single year and the cycle needs to end. When will Ontario stop ruining our lives over this “deadly” virus? As humans we deserve a say in this, let’s take back our lives.
