The measures being taken to address Covid-19 in Ontario are evidently not doing enough. While we are in a specified stage of lockdown, our restrictions are seemingly fluctuating to accommodate certain businesses while others are faltering. The actual term of emergency shutdown is seemingly being renamed to fit changing lockdown conditions. More importantly we are consistently hitting the same problem that resets us in this cycle of month to month shut downs.

Going into a complete shutdown will effectively eliminate the level of contact we are experiencing. By shutting down more "essential workplaces" we should be able to see a decrease in the number of cases.

While a complete lockdown is neccesary it is always important to take precautions when choosing to alter measures taken. Once a lockdown shows any form of improvement this should not automatically lead to the loosening of restrictions; a slow progression of lifting measures is neccessary.

These constant changes as to what rules we are informed of and expected to follow have created inconsistencies. Such as changes in gathering limits, store occupancies, and what are considered to be essential businesses.

This virus has completely affected our way of living, communicating, and overall mental health as a society. Evidently, as more time progresses and the spreading continues we need to take increased action to more effectively contain what has already transpired.
