People are tired of being woken up at all hours of the day to loud exhaust systems. Some are so loud that they could cause permanent hearing damage to people within a second or two of exposure. The general public would like to spend time outside and not have to listen to loud exhaust systems of people racing illegally all day. Being loud does NOT make it safer!! The noise can frighten the person and cause them to have a heart attack or cause another person to drive into someone else. When the exhaust system sounds like gunfire going off, this is a serious legal issue and cannot be tolerated.
