Give us college student back our mental health week!

Following a 5-week college faculty strike 500,000 college students were faced with uncertainty, anxiety and stress of the unknown. Now that we are back in our schools, we have been ripped away from our basic rights. Shortening our Christmas break, a time to spend time with family and friends, and have gone on to rip away our reading week. Several studies have shown that during February, anxiety, depression and suicide spikes in colleges nation wide. Reading week was put in place to eleviate this burden on students and give them a "mental health break". Due to the college strike we have been shown the true colours of the college system. Putting our mental health in jeopardy and doing what is best for them. We students will fight for our health as one and assure that every single one of us will receive the dignity we have the right to! THERE IS NO HEALTH WITHOUT MENTAL HEALTH!
