When students are in an uncomfortable testing environment, test anxiety rises, which can contribute to poor academic performance. Covid requires social separation, which we can't do because we're in a tiny classroom this as is on lecture days causes anxiety because many have a family member that lives in the same household that has a compromised health. Not everyone has attended class on lecture days, all seats will most likely be taken on midterm day, resulting in a full classroom.
