The one off payment for healthcare staff as recognition of their service during the difficult COVID times is a welcome step. Healthcare workers has seen many lows during the last two years and some have also left NSW health due to a variety of reasons during this time. I am starting this petition for the healthcare workers who have served tiredlessly during the peak COVID times (2020-2022) but are no longer working with NSW health now. What about them? Why should they be deprived of this payment when they have contributed to the care and service of COVID patients and their families during the most difficult and testing times? I think the ones who have recently left also deserve equal recognition and support payment. The healthcare workers who worked in last 2.5 difficult years deserve recognition more than the ones who have recently joined and may not have worked in the busy and difficult times.
