“A woman with a voice is, by definition, a strong woman.”

Imagine being deprived of education, you as a person with human rights losing your privileges to learn and grow although you have great potential. 9 million girls in Africa never had the chance to go to school.

As a firm believer in supporting gender equity amongst the many young girls that lack opportunity. Gender inequity in the third world (specifically Africa), comes along with an array of issues that affect girls in the developing world. Education is seen as the fundamental basis needed that has now Do you want to empower young aspiring girls for the better?

Gender equity is providing opportunities, rights, resources and decisions without discriminating the gender. Equity is the fairness amongst both men and women. To achieve gender equity we must empower women and girls and enable them to as many opportunities as a man would. Education is an important mechanism for enhancing the health and well-being of individuals because it reduces the need for health care, the associated costs of dependence, lost earnings and human suffering.

Limited education has caused development in Africa to plateau. With education rates plummeting, child marriage rates are increasing. The correlation of increased child marriage rates have contributed to higher birth rates which ultimately leads to health issues. In sub-Saharan Africa, if all women completed primary education, maternal deaths would be reduced by 70%, saving almost 50,000 lives. Since education disregarded in Africa, a ‘domino effect’ is created preventing this region from overall development. With half of this population excluded from education, that is half of the possibility of revolutionising the world.

Some issues that these girls face in their near future are:

- Overall effect on the quality of life
- No employment
- Low to no income
- Lower social status
- Lower health
