We are seeing a huge spike in the number of cases in last couple of weeks and especially among children below 12 who are the only vulnerable group (unvaccinated) at this point. As per https://ohiohospitals.org/covid19data hospitilization of children between 1-17 have increased by 68% in last one week. With Delta variant impacting the children more, keeping them indoors is really the worst decision to make. While we understand the importance of educating our kids, it is more important to keep them safe. With the vaccination for under 12 is around the corner (hopefully), and the cases surging more than last year and no beds available in Nationwide Childrens Hospitals, it only makes sense to think sensibly and provide safer avenues for kids to study for another 3 months until the end of fall and until all under 12 gets vaccinated. While other school discticts offer the option of online schooling, it is very disappointing to know Olentangy doesnt even offer that option and putting the kids under risk and families under stress. 

We humbly request the concerned authorities to consider this plea and provide the option for kids to continue educated under the safety of staying home until they all get vaccinated.
