Oklahoma State Senators Nathan Dahm (R-Broken Arrow) and Marty Quinn (R-Claremore) are proposing to name part of Route 66 "President Donald J. Trump Highway."  I do not want anything in The State of Oklahoma named after Donald J. Trump, a man I believe to be more odious and criminal than former President Richard M. Nixon.  Donald J. Trump is a scourge on the American landscape.  In addition, as expressed by Oklahoma State Representative Ben Loring, "I do not understand why Senators Dahm and Quinn have filed legislation that would cost The State of Oklahoma $1,400 for signage and would dishonor one of Oklahoma's favorite sons."  The particular part of Route 66 under consideration is believed to already be named after humorist, journalist and Cherokee great Will Rogers.  The famed Oklahoman is buried at The Will Rogers Museum in Claremore (Sen. Quinn's constituency).  Claremore is the location of The Will Rogers Museum and site of the interment of Will Rogers, the burial of his wife Betty Blake Rogers and 3 of the couple's 4 children.  Rogers State University is also located in Claremore, Oklahoma.  William Penn Adair Rogers was born in 1879 in what was then Indian Territory.  He tragically died in a plane crash in Alaska in 1935 along with fellow Oklahoman and aviator Wiley Post.  To see a video from The Will Rogers Museum in Claremore click here:  https://www.c-span.org/video/?165661-1/writings-rogers Rogers is not only an Oklahoma and national treasure.  He is the antithesis of Donald J. Trump. Will Rogers was witty, kind, charismatic, empathetic, highly intelligent and a uniting, not divisive, figure in American history during The Great Depression.  Will Rogers cared about the American people in a genuine fashion and never forgot who he represented in the United States and in the world.  Donald Trump is an embarrassment and blight on American history and politics.  Will Rogers will be remembered long after Donald J.
