Mar 16, 2017 — I am as upset about the potential closing of these parks as all of you. This is due to the ongoing revenue shortfall we have experienced over the last two years. We had a $1.3 billion revenue shortfall last year and this year it's already at $900 million and could get worse. Consequently, all state agencies have been cut to the bone. But many Oklahoma House and Senate members aren't willing to enact a sound recurring revenue plan to address these massive cuts in state services. Let your House and Senate members know you WANT them to fund basic government services like operating these state parks and funding public education.
