My boyfriend is an addict in recovery and watching your loved one slowly get worse and refuse help is the most debilitating thing to watch.

A nationwide law would help many parents get their loved ones the help they need. It's very difficult once someone is 18. I tough to watch young adults suffer or die and yet parents are helpless. They are not only a danger to themselves but to parents as well. Many parents have been while trying to talk to their grown children.

I have three daughters and a granddaughter that are fighting for their lives and need help before they become a statistic. I believe they want help but are truly afraid of what it might look like or they don't want to be sick
