To the concerned citizens of the Caddo County area. Once again a tragedy has occurred at the "Apache Wye". This is only the latest in the series of incidents that has occurred at this poorly marked intersection. It is very clear that many motorists are often unaware that there is a Stop sign, so they just drive straight through, often with fatal consequences.
Aside from improving signage at this major junction, although divots were made to help driver's slow their speed, it is still not enough to alert the driver that they are approaching a stop sign. The government needs to urgently install warning flashes and post speed limit signs to reduce their speed before the junction.
Authorities need to take immediate action so that drivers can have adequate time to stop by making these improvements. The people of Caddo County know the increasing number of motorists traveling this road, and we know accidents at this intersection such as this are likely to increase.
This major junction of Caddo County can become safer, not only for locals but foreign drivers.
