I need 5,000 signatures to petition the Attorney General’s office to em panel grand jury

My son, Duane Murray II, was in emotional and mental distress on the morning of Nov 19, 2020. He was holding a .38 to the side of his head and the police officers on scene that morning negotiated with him for 55 minutes, as he showed to be a threat only to himself. At the 55 minute mark, without announcing to Duane II that they were going to open fire, they pelted him with 10-12 bean bag rounds.
Shooting that many bean bag rounds is considered excessive and shots to the face, neck and groin are prohibited. With 12 officers on scene at the time of the incident, it’s not clear who or how many officers actually participated in firing the bean bag rounds but every officer that night committed a misdemeanor crime when they all failed to report the use of excessive force, negligence and assault that took place.
My son turned and ran for his life and it was during this sequence that he was shot with a 12 guage slug to the head as he was running away from officers, approximately 30 feet away. We cannot allow police officers to act in this type of unprofessional, unethical and illegal fashion and continue to wear a gun and badge and profess to perform their duties with integrity. Our family needs to see justice for Duane and experience some closure in this case. As the DA has amazingly declined to file criminal charges in this case, we need the Attorney General’s Office to em panel a grand jury to hear the evidence in this case to decide if criminal charges are warranted.
