In the wake of this deadly virus, it is impossible to implement social distancing in prisons. All non violent felony offenders with at least half their sentences served should be released.
These offenders should be paroled to their families so that they have a better chance at survival. Although, they will technically be on house arrest due to the STAY AT HOME order, they will have less exposure to germs. This will also afford them the opportunity to ease back into society and become a productive law abiding citizen.
A prison sentence should not be a death sentence!
Everyone deserves a second chance. Without the proper ability to protect themselves in prison, first time non violent felons should be granted parole for the remainder of their sentences.
