Fair and Equal Child Support

The Ohio Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) believes that up to fifty-five percent (55%) of a non-residential parent's income should be designated to the support of the custodial parent and child, regardless of the amount of time a non-residential parent spends with a child. This is an absolute outrage.
We, the undersigned, demand that the child support system reflect the fact that the non-custodial parent is also responsible for taking care of the child(ren) by being able to provide: housing, furnishings, food, clothing, medication, etc. This change should entitle residential parents to no more than twenty percent (20%) of the non-residential parent's income.
We believe this is a fair amount and will help to eliminate the misuse of child support funds by the residential parent and will require them to take responsibility for the welfare of their child(ren).
