We are failing our at risk youth in the state of Ohio and not identifying our most vulnerable groups within our anti-bullying laws. They are impeding on our children's studies. We can do better; we must do better! 

I am very concerned with the safekeeping of our youth in our Ohio public school districts. As a former emancipated foster youth, a student, and a mother, I hope our youth can be afforded more significant opportunities for a safe, inclusive environment at school where we see accountability.

For some, school is the only place they feel safe. I can say that with confidence from a place of experience. At minimum, consider the comfort of knowing they are acknowledged and protected. In providing such protection for our youth, we simultaneously create a pathway to ending discrimination.
