Why wait if Covid 19 to spread throughout prisons, Let’s take action now! 
Reduce prison population in the state of Ohio to prevent the spread of Covid-19 Lowering the prison population and allowing the inmates to return home would lessen the spread of the disease, the risks are much higher for inmates and staff members if you leave them in there. In Ohio as of April 1st 3 staff member tested positive, Marion Correctional Institution is currently being Quarantined. Only 27 inmates statewide have been tested, 2 are pending results.                                                        Many other states have began releasing inmates to reduce population.                    They can be ordered to home confinement or a GPS monitoring device, There are many state inmates that are currently serving time for offenses where no one was injured. These inmates are not a threat to the public please consider releasing non violent, drug related, probation violation cases that have served 50% of their sentence due to the Coronavirus.
