I am the owner and operator of La La Love Healthcare LLC, a small home health agency certified through the Ohio Department of Aging and the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. I am requesting support from my fellow citizens to request an increase in the rate paid to home healthcare agencies for personal care services. I am signing this petition because I know how important the job of a home health aide is. I am not just the owner of the agency. I get out and work with our clients as well being that we are very short staffed. This is partly because we are not able to compete with the bigger home health agencies. We are limited in our ability to raise the rates paid to our employees. Raising these rates are important to pay our employees a decent living wage and to pay them hazardous pay while working in close proximity to clients during a pandemic.
