Two years ago, the Ohio government changed the rules on whether or not a grand jury can indict someone accused of murdering another person using a gun. Now, if the person claims it was self defense, even if it wasn't, a grand jury cannot indict the person who committed the crime, allowing a murderer to go free. This law needs to be changed to where that, if the grand jury isn't certain whether it was an act committed in self defense, or not, then they go through with an indictment and allow a true trial take place to be certain, rather than just setting a killer free. My brother was murdered on May 15th, 2020, and on July 1st, it went public that the grand jury allowed his murderer to go free, only because they weren't certain if it was in self defense or not. This man admitted to killing my brother, and they had it on tape. How many other murderers are going free because they claim self defense? Why is there no punishment for taking someone's life; especially when the victim had no gun in their possession for the killer to have to defend themselves from.
