The offshore drilling that takes place off our coasts here in Huntington Beach has been taking a toll on the marine life population, our coast, our atmosphere, and even the economy. The most recent oil spill that occurred should have been a wake-up call for us as a community to make a necessary change, but sadly we saw nothing. This inspired us to create this petition because we believe that the marine biomes living off of our coast do not deserve to be polluted and disrupted by the negligence of the human species.
