Officer accountability to police brutality and abuse of power

Officer accountability to police brutality and abuse of power
The Issue
Hello my name is Crystal, I am here raising awareness to bring my father's murderers to justice. He was beaten by the Chicago police . While in handcuffs they hit him in the back of the head with a billy club and caused him to have a stroke. After the police officers finished beating my father they realized he wasn't waking up. The officers unhandcuffed him and left him with some people who were partying and very intoxicated. No immediate medical care was ever provided. It wasn't until the next day, when my father couldn't be woke up and they knew something was terrible wrong and finally called for help. My father was left in what is called a locked in state of coma. He was a prisoner in his own body. He lived out his days like that until Oct 23 2004. My father died on my 15th birthday. There are many more details, very graphic of the events and beating those officers violently acted together in. Including pinning him down handcuffed with a knee on my father's neck.
I am here now asking for help to bring those officers to justice. There is no statue of limitation on murder or attempted murder and I am here for my father's justice!
More and more we hear of police brutality and more and more communities are standing up and voices are heard. My father didn't have a voice, it was stolen from him.
Police officers need to be held accountable and must understand that we will accept no more!
Our children shouldn't fear the police and one way to make sure that happens is by making all officers accountable and held to a higher standard, a higher punishment for corruption and abuse of their power.
Please help me get justice for my father and let us take a stand against police brutality.
I feel all officers should be held accountable and be required with a legal binding contract that their punishment for police brutality and killing citizens should be charged as the most serious capital offenses. I will be gathering signatures for petitioning this into law. It is a process and must be passed up, but it is possible! Sign this petition and we will make a difference.
MY CHILDREN WILL KNOW I DID NOT STAY SILENT!!!!!
Together We Can Make This Happen
The first step is gathering signatures so we can present them and have a bill drafted. One step at a time but change is coming!
I also have have fundraisers and the funds will be used for an attorney, travel, lodging, educating the public on how to create a bill into law, gathering signatures, and helping others that have faced injustices such as this so they will not have to fight alone for justice.
Justice will be served when those officers are charged and I will not stop until all officers are held accountable for their actions of injustice.
