We are starting this petition to bring about change to the antiquated uniform policy at The Snaith School. Having 2 girls attend the school, we are experiencing difficulties with the lack of navy blue trousers/skirts available on the market. It seems unfair that the boys are able to wear black bottoms, which are available in a multitude of styles, whilst we struggle to find even one pair of navy trousers or skirt that fit our daughters in line with the uniform policy. Both parents and the school have the same problems every September, with girls having to wear trousers that either cost the earth to fit with the guidelines, or face sanctions for not having the correct attire. We are calling for change to be made to this policy so that girls will be allowed to have the same choice of blue or black trousers, as the boys do. We hope that this will solve the uniform issues we, and many other parents face each year, by being allowed to purchase black trousers/skirts as well.
