Justice For The Buffalo 5: Revisit Indictment Number 41-413

In 1976 and 1977, 5 black Buffalo teenagers were arrested, indicted, tried and convicted, for the murder of a man named William Crawford. The 5 teenagers, were: John Walker, Jr., Darryl Boyd, Darren Gibson, Floyd Martin, and Tyrone Woodruff. Mr. Crawford was an elderly white gentleman who resided in the Fillmore-Kensington Neighborhood of the City Of Buffalo, as did the youth. At the time of his murder, Mr. Crawford was also robbed of the funds from his VA Pension Check. The 5 youth were not guilty of the crimes, but material evidence that would have proven their innocence was withheld by the Buffalo Police Department...or was ignored completely, by the Erie County District's Attorney's Office. In fact, the trials contained numerous Brady Violations. A Brady Violation occurs when exculpatory or impeaching information and evidence that is material to the guilt or innocence or to the punishment of a defendant, is withheld from that defendant. The Supreme Court ruled that suppression, by the prosecution, of evidence favorable to a defendant who has requested it violates due process. The Buffalo 5's Indictment, No. 41-413, needs to be reopened and revisited, so that a complete exoneration can occur. This is a petition to achieve that justice. #JusticeForTheBuffalo5 #JusticeDelayedTheJohnWalkerStory #TruthMatters #BlackLivesMatter
