In light of the recent events in Invercargill on Monday a video of school students assaulting two innocent teenage boys as they were walking home from school, I am appalled at this behaviour I am also a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 6, and I would be devastated if anything happened to any of my little ones when they were walking home from school so  I call for heavier more . Powerful penalties for these youth bullys. police involved in this incident are saying they are investigating the event  but because of the age of the perpetrators, they are saying there is not much they can do, the victims and there families are also receiving gang threats as a result of the police being notified, now they are too scared to leave their homes and to even attend their local school . Invercargill is a small town this sort of thing should not happen... I think that these violent youths should be brought to Justice in a way where it clearly sends a message that it is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in any way shape or form.. I believe the victims are not protected enough and are made to feel like it is their fault.. I think these youth that are involved or any bullies for that matter need to be accountable for their appalling actions against other human beings. Not only do the victims  usually end up with physical injuries but also psychological problems and end up with mental health issues and even depression and suicidality. It is well and truly time to stand up and say no more. I know that these perpetrators are still young themselves but they need to be stopped while they are young otherwise it  could carry on to bigger and greater offending. Please support this cause.
