“Cleveland State University is offering a new tuition program for the Fall 2020 freshman class.  If you enroll at CSU as a new first time freshman and successfully complete Fall Semester 2020 with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better, Spring Semester 2021 will be tuition free after other financial aid has been applied.  So, Spring tuition will be covered by CSU!

This is not a typical year for any of us.  You spent the most important part of your senior year of high school at home.  We recognize that you missed your prom, commencement, and saying goodbye to friends, and we want to make certain that your transition to CSU is a great one, especially during this time of uncertainty.  We are focused on student success at CSU, and we hope that making Spring Semester tuition free will take one challenge out of the equation.”

I, as well as many of my Cleveland State University peers, find it unfair that the 2-for-1 Tuition Promise is only being offered to the incoming freshman class. We ask that this offer be extended to all students during these unprecedented times, as we are all dealing with the same hardships that have been caused by COVID-19, not just new college students.
