Our petition is to request Old Bridge school district to offer synchronous remote learning for next 2 weeks starting 1/3/2022 as kids are returning back from holiday break. This is due to imploding number of COVID-19 hospitalizations in NJ which has now reached 3800 COVID patients and over 20,000 COVID cases a day. The current situation is lot worse than same period last year and hence many NJ school districts have taken the decision to offer synchronous  remote learning for next two to three weeks. For us as parents its really concerning as kids are vulnerable of getting infected due to close proximity classroom and lunch room arrangement at Old Bridge school district. We request Old Bridge school district board and superintendent Mr David Cittadino to reconsider their COVID-19 back to school policy and offer synchronous  remote learning as an option.
