The constitution of Kenya must be respected and fully implemented, especially by leaders. According to Article 137, political parties must hold national elections for leaders every two years. ODM held their last elections in 2007 while Jubilee selected leaders at its formation in 2017, promising to do elections in 18 months from the date of registration.

In view of the above, both parties are not legally political parties and can only be referred to as social groups.

Groups that flout the law cannot be trusted to nominate and campaign for a presidential candidate as that would set a bad presidence for citizens
