Please sign this petition to be sent to the OCS board members prior to their meeting Monday where they will vote if the high school sports season can begin! Sports are important for students' mental and physical health. There are numerous reasons the OCS board members should vote for the commencement of the high school sports season:

-A safety plan for sports practices/games has already been designed. It includes daily screenings, no spectators, social distancing protocols, and assignment of student-athletes to pods. 

-Numerous clubs and recreational sports leagues have demonstrated sports CAN be played safely during these times. Many student-athletes have been participating in these leagues/groups for months now. 

-High school sports are crucial for student-athletes physical AND mental health. 

The high school sports season CAN begin safely. By signing this petition, you do YOUR part in making sure the board members see how many people support the start of sports.
