As many students go Face-to-Face learning during this whole pandemic, there is one thing that hasn't changed for as long as anyone can remember. Dress Code. While boys get to wear tank tops, girls are not allowed to wear tank tops for the school's "protection of the students" While boys only get a warning for having their pants below their waists, girls get sent home for a pair of shorts that were barely above their middle fingers.

If people sign this petition, girls' dress code will have a longer leash, in comparison to now. Many of my friends and other girls that I know have gotten detention or been sent home for insanity such as this. For having a skirt that was one centimeter too short or where a peek-a-boo shoulders T-Shirt.

This is important because many women have been raped all throughout history. When people lived in caves and/or moved from one place to another frequently, women were raped. In the 1600s, Katherine/Catherine Howard was raped four times, throughout her short life. 100 years later, Sally Hemmings, was raped by Thomas Jefferson on multiple accounts. Women were raped in the 50s when their skirts were down to their ankles, This all goes to show you that what we women wear is not the problem, its the lack of self-control.
