We, the voting residents of Oceanside, strongly oppose the 712 Seagaze “Tower” project (in Oceanside, CA) for the following reasons: 

1. Height: 8 stories (90 feet high) will tower over residents and businesses. This will set the precedent for future high-rises in downtown without forethought as to the long-term community impact.

2. Parking: Current building will provide insufficient parking (1/2 of needed parking) in relation to the high density plan (179 studio and hotel rooms). This will directly impact residents in the community who will be unable to park in front of their homes.

3. Community well-being: The current plan will not provide any benefits to the existing community nor will it provide a good quality of life for the inhabitants that will ultimately live there unless the City evaluates a larger long term plan for sustainable development in our community going forward. 

Vote "NO" so that the community does not live on the backdrop of a large, towering building skyline that focuses on developer profit margins rather than community well-being!
