AS OCCUPIERS DEMAND TO BE HEARD AND TREATED FAILRY, SO SHOULD THE SEXUALLY ABUSED WITHIN THE MOVEMENT. AS WE ASK THE 1% TO NOT DISREGARD US FOR THEIR OWN END GOAL, SO TOO SHOULD WE NOT DISREGARD A PORTION OF OUR PORTETSERS, NAMELY THE YOUNG WOMEN.

OWS: PLEASE ALLY WITH POLICE ON OCCASION WHEN INSTANCES OF SEXUAL ABUSE OCCUR!

Also, we NEED COPS TO HELP REMOVE THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO NEED TO BE ARRESTED, THOSE WHO THE GROUP ASKS TO BE REMOVED, INSTEAD OF IGNORING THE REQUESTS TO TAKE AWAY VIOLENCT OR ABUSIVE INDIVIDUALS!!!

I’ve been to Rainbow Gatherings, as well as Occupy Portland, and I’ve been amazed and elated about how efficiently and compassionately so many individuals can work together without formal institutions, like police.
HOWEVER, there are instances when the Rainbow Community decides that it’s importance of escorting a few peaceful cops through the gathering in cases of violence, sexual abuse and murder. In these instances, a scout goes through the gathering before the cops to warn the community to hide any taboo paraphernalia which might distract the cops from their task of removing an abusive person. Even though the Gathering (and hopefully) Occupy rely mostly on their intelligent internal cooperation to try to handle violence, they will also work with external services on occasion for abusive matters.

I’m asking the Occupy Wall streets around the world to be aware of violence and sexual assault within, and to ally police when necessary- because if you don’t then many individuals within the movement will be treated unequally and be unnecessarily abused, which is something that Occupy’s philosophy is deeply against.
