Rodent infestation in Nixon Court Leicester

This is to inform you of a continuing rodent infestation in Nixon court residency, 33 Putney Road, Leicester, LE2 7TG. For seven weeks, we have noticed mice droppings, seen rodents in both the kitchen and bedroom spaces and generally round the Nixon vicinity. There have been various complaints made and limited action has been taken. Residents were told weeks ago that measures were put in place to address the infestation problem, however, the effects of these actions have been non-existent. When we have been to the reception on sight to voice our complaints concerning the lack of action, we have been treated only with contempt and our issues completely disregarded. As students who have just undertaken the new responsibility of our degree, I feel that the Occam Accommodation services have been grossly negligent in the situation. The severity of the situation has been underestimated by the accommodation service, there are many of us who are now extremely anxious in our own homes, and are made to feel that our concerns are completely unwarranted. These circumstances have been especially distressing for residents with intense fear and even phobias of mice and rats. Apart from this, the presence of these pests is completely unhygienic in an environment where students are susceptible to illness. Having paid for the accommodation, we should be able to feel comfortable and clean in our homes. We hope that from this you will acknowledge the problem in our treatment, in the way that the bodies responsible for our accommodation should have been.
