There is no objective basis for awarding this honour based on his record and it completely undermines the whole system. He was sacked from 2 ministerial jobs. The first time for being accused of leaking top secret information about national security, the second time for the many abject failures he is responsible for in relation to schools and universities during the height of the pandemic; an A level algorithm that resulted in huge inequalities, opening primary schools for one day before closing them for the 3rd lockdown etc etc etc
