Dear American Board of OBGYN,

As members of The American College of OBGYN and providers licensed by The American Board of OBGYN, we are deeply disturbed by Texas’ new draconian anti-abortion law.  It clearly violates rights protected by the United States constitution, violates the tenets of medical ethics, and interferes with our ability to provide safe medical care.  The American Board of OBGYN, an organization dedicated to certifying physicians who care for individuals who may become pregnant, is located in Texas.  With its current residence in Texas, our membership is helping to support the Texas economy.  We demand that the Board be moved to a state that strongly supports women’s reproductive rights.  With this new law, it is imperative that our organization send a clear and unequivocal message that we will not provide any financial support to a state that restricts reproductive choice and in doing so, places patients and providers at personal and financial risk.
