Give the senior girls black robes to graduate in and not the mustard colored ones

Historically, the senior girls at OPHS have been required to wear 'gold' colored robes for graduation, while the boys have worn black. While it is understood the contrasting colors of the gowns are meant to represent the school colors of black and gold, the girl's robes more closely resemble the contents of a mustard packet. This year, the ladies of the class of 2018 would like to change that; we want to break from the wearing of the mustard robes and wear the black. ASB has been striving to make this possible for several years. The desire for change is here. We are proud of our school colors, but feel if the boys had to wear the same colored gowns they would be equally unhappy. Let's show that while we are a class of diverse and unique individuals, as a class we are unified in this decision. Sign this petition today and help make a change!
