THIS PETITION SEEKS TO ESTABLISH HOW VALUED MIQ IS TO #Team5M. 

Continuation of NZ’s stringent MIQ policy is under sustained threat. Arguments used for abolition are akin to saying because there is an intruder in the house we should open the doors to increase the chance of more coming in.  

NZers need to demonstrate their support, or otherwise, for keeping a managed MIQ barrier for NZ. This is especially so when main stream media are not capable of presenting a balanced argument and consistently spin stories for the good of their headlines. Attempts are now being made to manipulate overseas media to further isolate NZ and increase pressure on NZ Government to break away from their highly-valued stance on MIQ. 

By voting for a continuation of MIQ we can help support NZ Government decision-making and demonstrate our collective resolve to keep NZ citizens as safe as we can.  We also recognise that the economic disaster has not happened and that keeping NZ closed is a way to keep more business open and retain a kiwi-style of life.
