As a small business owner living in a prolonged lockdown it is found to be financially unviable to cover the costs of business rent , ongoing basic costs, businesses mortgages ,compliance and tax payments.

We ask the Government to increase the resurgence payment by  minimum of 50% to ensure Beauty Therapy businesses in Auckland can stay afloat to service their loyal clients in their communities when permitted to trade. 

Beauty Therapy business are desperately needing your support to create  a change . We do not have a union only a non- profit yet very professional Association that is organised by volunteers in Industry .

Yes, the wage subsidy supports the Beauty Therapy staff/ team members which is crucial in business and for that small Beauty Therapy salons are grateful. However the actual business owners are facing financial ruin with a forced lockdown with insufficient resurgence payment support . 

The payment needs to be apportioned in favour to those that are not enabled to trade as yet verse those that have started trading in level 2.
