The disruption COVID caused to the Junior Intake Course and specifically group 7’s experience despite the precautions ALL members of the group abided by (unlike the majority of other courses) was devastating. NYT’s safety policy was adhered to fully by all participants in group 7 and Gabriel noted early on in the process he was ‘proud’ of the conduct of these candidates. The bond forged within group 7 in only 3 days of the intake course cannot be overstated and despite the virtual supplement we are provided with, our true induction, that NYT aims to be ‘unique and life-changing’, cannot be satiated. 
Unlike the participants of 2020 who were offered the NYT course at a severely discounted price, the £450 fee was achieved by hard-work and fundraising for many candidates and we feel as though the 3 days of in-person workshops cannot account for this expenditure. 
Despite the consideration of a top up course already by management, our gratitude and connection with Gabriel Àkámọ́ and Betty Williams-Singh is indescribable and we are adamant to express our desire to continue our NYT journey under their leadership. 
As NYT states, ‘We learn by doing, vocation is at our heart, experience at our finger tips and excellence at our core.’ - we believe this whole-heartedly and intend campaign to get as much out of this course as committed to.
