I am advocating for any and all adults with developmental disabilities who are seeking job opportunities. This current bill is "in committee" meaning that it is pending approval to be passed. This bill, among others can help us to achieve independence, increased quality of life, and equality for individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability. This bill will divide employment positions into sub-positions through an employment demonstration program. This means that there will be more jobs for these individuals to qualify for, as only those with a diagnosed disability can apply.
