The Delta variant is dangerous. It is more transmissionable and deadly, even to children. Schools must require children, teachers and staff to wear masks. Leaving it up individuals school districts allows political considerations to interfere with science and public health.

Hospitalizations of children have dramatically risen around the country. We have to get this right and act to protect our kids. In order for masks to work everyone has to be wearing one. 

Please immediately issue a mask mandate for the State of New York schools. Kids health and lives are at stake.
