I'm signing because this project smells like other projects in orange county and other places - and what's coming out of the stacks and carrying with the wind into the lungs and bodies of all who breathe orange county's polluted air. the numerous cases asthma in children will prove this. and the fact those individuals involved in the projects also stink. the taxpayer money squandered on this project should have been used to build solar farms in orange county.

The criminal aspect of this unnecessary power plant would be enough to shut it down. The testimony of experts from Cornell University about the toxicity of this fracked gas plant should have been enough to shut it down. The proof known from the beginning that NYS did not need the electricity from this plant should have kept it from being built. A pair of eagles nested on the proposed pipeline route, but that did not stop the pipeline from going forward. Going with fracked gas, with its commitment of 80 new fracked gas wells/year takes NYS backwards by 40 year when we have to urgently move into the future. The health consequences of headaches and other ailments downwind of this poorly sited plant should be enough to shut it down. This plant needs to be decommissioned.
