FriendsOf PelhamParkway started this petition to NYS Attorney General and

Dear: Commissioner Arlene González-Sánchez., MS, LMSW, Commissioner of the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services

Please do NOT approve any Applications from Carnegie Hill Institute to operate a Drug Abuse Treatment Clinic at 2500 Wiiliamsbridge Road.  P.S. 89 is across the street and the school’s playground is directly opposite this site.   It is also in close proximity to St. Catherine Academy, St. Lucy’s School, Christopher Columbus High School, the New York Institute for Special Education and other nearby schools.

Approximately 1000 residents showed up despite the rain to the Nov 7th Town Hall meeting expressing adamantly their opposition to this facility.  At this event, Council Member Gjonaj and Exit Realty Principal stated the deal was dead and would not happened.  In fact, Sonny Vatej stated the seller listened to their opinion and decided NOT to sell to Carnegie Hill Institute.

However, Carnegie Hill Institute bought this property on February 17th.   Exit Realty Principal Sonny Vatej stated that Carnegie Hill Institute used an individual to acquire the property under a different name and the deed was transfer to Carnegie Hill Institute, If Sonny Vatej is truthful that the Buyer Carnegie Hill Institute deceive the seller than their devious act should not be awarded.

A resident’s email to Commissioner Arlene González-Sánchez on Oct 7th expressed concerns of the underhandedness involving Exit Realty and the Council Member Mark Gjonaj and possibly this location was agreed and selected deliberately so the clinic would not be placed elsewhere in the district.  In this case, NYCHA residents, low income working families, immigrants and their children were deliberately targeted as less deserving of a safe and nurturing environment.   Again, a devious act should not be awarded.  An investigation is warranted in either case.

On Nov 7 with City Council Member Mark Gjonaj and Assembly Member Nathalia Fernandez,  Sonny Vatej, Principal of Exit Realty stated he protected the community and the deal will not go 1 million percent to Carnegie Hill Institute, a Drug Abuse Treatment Clinic.  City Council Member Gjonaj stated the DEAL WAS DEAD.  Assemblymember Nathalia Fernandez stated she would keep on top of the issue.  IT WAS ALL LIES.   Click here for LINK

They ALL lied and the Attorney General needs to Investigate EXIT Realty that lied to the community.

Please do NOT approve any application on behalf of Carnegie Hill Institution for 2500 Williamsbridge location.
