I love my kids and I want to protect them first they are my priority unlike our city officials who are ready to use them as pawns it's disgusting but this is the same country where you can die from the color of your skin

Having a child that is not only under the age limit to be vaccinated but a diabetic I worry about my daughter going to school in person. I feel the kids that cannot be vaccinated should be able to continue to learn remotely until they can get vaccinated and/or we stop having spikes. Too many children and their families contracted COVID last school year mainly because people still aren't adhering to what is being asked of us having no regard for anyone else and their health.

They want to open the school fully yet only 10% of students and staff will be RANDOMLY selected to be tested what happens with the rest of the student and staff that are not tested? I am all about kids being in school but not in the expense of their health. Teachers will have to get tested every week if they choose not to get vaccinated that’s an option, why can’t we as parents have an option.
We need a remote option to keep our kids safe.

I think it is cruel to send children back to school when the virus rate is up and put them all together and they definetly will get it and that is how it spreads and some people will not get covid shot get one to save a child

With the Delta variant, a far more swift and vigorous mutation, rampant and spreading, it is appropriate and reasonably indicated for a Remote Learning option to be on the table. The current thrust for reopening the city is obscuring the very important fact--that children of school age (especially under age 12) can not be vaccinated and are quite vulnerable to falling ill. Public transportation to/from school in crowded peak subway cars and busses with partially/unmasked straphangers, along with the unknown exposures of wider student/family/school staff, etc. are risk/variables that can not be controlled for. We can not play roulette with our children's lives--we need to have Remote Learning rights of protection in place.... politics aside

I am signing this because this guarteens a safe protect for my family and my daughters. Once 100 percent of the people are vaccinated I Will send my daughters to in person to school. I fine quite unfair that their is not remote for all kids. I pay taxes for school and I do not this basic right and service to online school. The school is not support it is either your children go to school or repeat the grade. That is really messed up.

It should be optional.

Teachers should be at home teaching their students remotely, it is unsafe and unhealthy to be in NYC Public schools currently!! No one is concerned for the well being of our NYC school teachers!! They deserve medals for their perseverance, professionalism and dedication to their students! They deserve to be treated better!!!

Teachers are the lifeblood of our future and deserve to teach in a safe environment. Right now that’s their own homes.
