Petition update

Brooklyn, NY, United States

Feb 23, 2017 — It has been nearly 4 years since we started collecting signatures all over the neighborhood to "Bring back the Bay Ridge ferry". But today, thanks to Mayor de Blasio, Councilman Vinnie Gentile and YOU, I can proudly report the Bay Ridge ferry is officially coming back!

Marine construction will begin shortly at the 69th Street Pier for the new ferry slip and service is scheduled to start THIS SUMMER !!!

The cost for a ride will be $2.75, same fare as the subway or bus. You'll be able to pay with your smartphone, credit cards or cash with easy "tap & go" boarding and monthly unlimited pass options. You'll also be able to bring your bike on the boat with special bicycle ticketing options. The boats will also be stroller friendly. And if that's not enough, there will be Wi-Fi and food & beverage options on board.

More info can be found here:

We'll have more updates soon but the wait is almost over and the best part is WE did this TOGETHER! Make no mistake, YOU made this happen because it was YOU who made sure Bay Ridge was included in this new ferry plan. So give yourself a hand!

Talk soon!
