I've received an email from PGPR yesterday at 21:47 in my personal email saying that "all vacation stayers at PGPR and PH (other than those currently residing in the Graduate Student Apartments) will be allocated to other student hostels for vacation stay." Noting that this relocation happens across the entire campus.

I want to address the issue of making all residents move houses during vacation stay. Is this move necessary? Is this move abiding the circuit breaker rules? What’s the intention behind this move?

From what I can see, it’s simply putting the lives of all its international students who are residing in PGPR on stake. I specifically mention international students since they are the ones “recommended” to NOT go home, and thereby FORCED to stay in Singapore.

1. Can a safety distance of 2m be maintained during this entire moving procedure? If not, whose responsibility is that?
2. Can students be guaranteed that the new residences they are moving into have been totally disinfected?
3. Can students be reassured that they won’t be infected by the virus/fall sick during the process of moving? Considering how they have to move boxes of personal belongings themselves without the help of others? (Since your earlier emails indicated that friends/family cannot enter the residence)

Therefore, I urge thy to reconsider this moving procedure, and really put thy students safety as thy priority.
