Lately, stalled trucks are causing alot of unwarranted sdeaths.These trucks stall on the highway and many of them leave no alert Signs alerting other motorists of any danger ahead .

The purpose of this petition is to force the govt to:

(1) Impose Heavy (and very punitive ) penalties for any truck found stalled on the road.If somebody can put a loaded truck on the road,then they should be able to remove it from the road should it stall !
(2) Stiff penalties for any truck whose rear lights (and break lights) are not visible for a distance of more than 70m.Stiffer penalties for trucks without rear lights (Picture those garbage trucks along jogoo road at 1am heading to dandora garbage site)
(3) Any truck that causes death because a car rammed into it while it was stalled,that case should be changed from a traffic offense to a criminal offense with the owner and driver of that truck being charged for murder.
(4)Any truck that does not employ safety features like lighting along the side of the truck,anti crash bars on the lower rear and sides of the truck to be removed from the road,inspection report revoked and sticker removed until the owner employs these features

(5) Kenya Police should Conduct nightly patrols along all major highways and intensify their patrols in areas where trucks and tractors are known to stall frequently.
